An arrest warrant has been issued for a 47-year-old man in connection with a slaying last month in the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club.
Investigators are searching for Jay Witt, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of William J. Furlong, said Officer James Shade, a spokesman for the Omaha Police Department.
Furlong, 48, was found dead July 14 in the Hell's Angels clubhouse at 4501 S. 27th Circle.
Furlong was, at least at one point, a member of a rival group. In 2001, he was one of 14 members of the Sons of Silence indicted in federal court for dealing drugs out of central Iowa. He was released from prison in November 2010.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Witt should contact the Omaha Police Homicide Unit at 402-444-5656. If you need to remain anonymous, contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
