The lone survivor of a June crash that killed three Fremont teenagers is being released from Madonna Rehabilitation Center.
Jake Burnside will undergo surgery today on his left leg and is expected to return home later this week, according to his CaringBridge page. His father, Carter Burnside, said Jake will return to school Monday when the rest of his class does.
Jake was critically injured when he was riding in a speeding 1966 Ford Mustang with three of his Fremont High School friends. Tyler Walling, Jackson Blick and Trey Hansen died after the car they were riding in flipped near Fremont.
