Sioux City Brick & Tile Company celebrated 100 years in business this week.
Incorporated in 1913, the company’s bricks have been used from West Gate Bank in Lincoln to the Carnegie Hall Tower in New York City.
Sioux City Brick markets its products through local sales offices located in Des Moines (United Brick & Tile), Sioux City (Sioux City Brick), Bloomington, Minn. (Minnesota Brick & Tile) and Omaha, Nebraska (Nebraska Brick & Supply) and throughout the nation through its distributor network.
The company has corporate offices in Sioux City and Des Moines and two manufacturing plants in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa and Adel, Iowa. It employs about 250 people and has an annual production capacity of over 140 million bricks.
