FREMONT, Neb. — Mark Kostek has been named the head coach for track and field and cross country at Midland University.
Kostek has more than 30 years of experience as a coach or administrator, including 20 as the track and field coordinator at Nebraska. He’s also been a director for the Drake Relays.
“Mark is a renown track and field presence both locally and on the national stage,” said Dave Gillespie, Midland director of athletics. “We are thrilled to have such a prominent leader heading our track and field and cross country programs.”
Kostek is currently a co-chair for the USA Track and Field Rules Subcommittee.
Kostek holds a B.S. in physical education from Nebraska and a master’s in public administration from Drake University.
