The president of Omaha's Metropolitan Utilities District has resigned to take a position with the energy company Tenaska.
Doug Clark, who has been with MUD for 11 years, submitted his resignation today, and his last day will be Sept. 13.
“We’re going to miss him. However, we’re happy that he’s got the opportunity to pursue a dream job,” Board Chairman Tim Cavanaugh said in a statement.
Mark Doyle, an MUD senior vice president, will become the district’s interim president starting Sept. 16. MUD said Doyle will not apply for the permanent position.
