Attorneys reached a tentative agreement Tuesday to resolve a sexual abuse case involving a 17-year-old Treynor High School student.
Kreighton Elwood was charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree kidnapping in connection with a pair of incidents last winter.
Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber confirmed a tentative agreement had been reached to settle the case.
A change of plea and sentencing hearing for Elwood is scheduled for Sept. 19.
Also Tuesday, Elwood withdrew a request to move proceedings in the case to juvenile court, Wilber said.
In November and December of 2012, Elwood allegedly abused two females in separate incidents. In all, five females have filed complaints against Elwood, with three cases in juvenile court.
Elwood is the son of Kevin Elwood, superintendent of Treynor Community Schools.
