A 32-year-old Ralston man died after his pickup truck flipped down an embankment just west of Omaha Wednesday night.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Duane Safarik was taken in extremely critical condition to Creighton University Medical Center following the 8:50 p.m. crash. He died later of his injuries.
Deputies found Safarik’s white Ford F-150 pickup truck in an open field near 240th Street and Nebraska Highway 92.
A witness told investigators that the pickup appeared to overcorrect as it drifted across the center line.
The sheriff’s office said the accident remains under investigation.
