GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A 26-year-old man convicted of possessing and distributing child pornography was sentenced Thursday to four to 15 years in prison.
Ryan J. Brumbaugh of Grand Island had pleaded no contest in Hall County District Court to visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct. The charge involved the Internet distribution of a video of an approximately 7-year-old girl engaged in sexual acts with a man.
Two additional charges of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct were dismissed, as was a charge of possession of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct. The dismissed charges also involved children, estimated to be between 6 and 12 years old, engaged in sexual acts with one another and with adults.
Brumbaugh was given 164 days' credit for time served. He was arrested and charged in March.
He must serve a minimum of three years before he is eligible for “good time” or parole. He must also register as a sex offender.
