Maverick women fall to Wyoming at home

The University of Nebraska at Omaha women’s soccer team saw its two-game winning streak come to an end Sunday, as the Mavericks fell to Wyoming 2-1 at UNO Soccer Field.

The Cowgirls took a 2-0 lead 20 minutes into the game, but Hannah Wampler got the Mavs (2-4) within one in the 57th minute after Melanie McCormick was fouled just outside the box.

Wyoming (3-1-1) outshot UNO 11-7, with Olivia Mohtadi and Jennifer Paul connecting in the first half.

Wyoming (3-1-1) ............................ 2 0—2

At UNO (2-4) ............................ 0 1—1
