Kaneko has a series of new exhibits opening this week.
Founder Jun Kaneko’s giant Dangos, one of which you may have seen at the Holland Center, will be on display at the gallery. This will be the first time that all six of the giant ceramic pieces have been together for display.
“Stacked,” another of Kaneko’s pieces, will include six sculptures made of ceramic and glass.
Exhibit “Arch #2” will accompany Kaneko’s work. The museum asked three Omaha architecture and engineering firms to show off their design aesthetic. The groups have put together models and presentations to demonstrate their approaches to architecture.
The opening reception will be held Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The exhibits will run through Jan. 10 and are free and open to the public.
