A Council Bluffs woman faces charges after allegedly stabbing her husband.
Rachel Sund, 28, and William Sund, 35, were involved in a domestic dispute at 915 Fourth Ave. late Wednesday morning, Sgt. David Dawson with the Council Bluffs Police Department said. At one point, Rachel Sund allegedly used a folding knife to stab her husband on the left side of the head, above and behind the ear.
Around 12:25 p.m., the pair ended up at a relative’s house on Benton Street, where police were called. Authorities arrested Rachel Sund on suspicion of willful injury causing serious injury, Dawson said.
Council Bluffs Rescue transported William Sund to Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Dawson said Sund received 12 staples to the left side of his head and was released.
Rachel Sund remains at the Pottawattamie County Jail on a $5,000 bond. There were no charges for William Sund.
