Two more people sought by authorities in a sweep of reputed gang members and their associates were arrested Tuesday. Omaha police said Julio Arias and Lashawn Driver had been captured.
They are among 14 people who have been arrested — four were still being sought — as part of “Operation Wipe It Down.”
The sweep took aim at known gang members and those who helped arm them with handguns, rifles and shotguns.
Police and agents from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said last week that as a result of the nine-month investigation, they had taken 45 guns off the streets and had seized more than a pound of marijuana and about 72 grams of crack cocaine.
