Now you can let Fido roam the garden without fearing he’ll uproot the rutabagas.
The Potting Shed, Gift and Garden Center is opening up its fenced garden area to dogs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13. The free event will also host a pet photographer, Rodgers Pet Photography, and other pet vendors and rescue services, some of whom may bring animals available for adoption.
Owner Amy Weir said the event commemorates the store’s recent one-year anniversary and the recent arrival of Sadie, her golden retriever, who loves to play in the garden center.
The event also will feature a “doggie Halloween costume contest,” Weir said. “Bring your dog in costume or submit a photo to Paws in the Garden on Facebook.”
