Blue Demons top Bluejays on OT score

The Bluejays dropped to 9-4-1, including 2-2-1 in the Big East.

Erin Pekovitch scored in the seventh minute to give the Blue Demons (9-2-2, 3-1-1 Big East) a 1-0 lead. Creighton would answer 10 minutes later.

Though both teams had chances in the second half — the Bluejays fired nine shots while DePaul had seven — the final score came with 37 seconds left in overtime. Paul converted a crossing pass from Elise Wyatt to end it.

Creighton freshman Danielle Rice made seven saves while her counterpart, Alejandria Godinez, stopped eight shots.
