Westside school board member Tom Baker said Friday he won't seek a third term on the board.
Baker, insurance director for Woodhouse Family Insurance, said he is in the last year of his second six-year term. His children both have graduated from Westside High School.
“It's time for somebody else to have that experience,” he said. “For me, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had. The privilege of serving was extremely meaningful for me and my family.”
No date has yet been set for Westside's caucus, which usually is held in January or February. Up to four candidates will advance to the May 13 statewide primary election, which will serve as the general election for the Westside board.
