James Lake, principal at Norfolk High School, is no longer employed by the Norfolk Public School district.
The Norfolk Daily News was made aware of the situation Wednesday morning through several sources, including a message sent by Lake on Twitter.
Lake’s Twitter message was sent Tuesday evening and read: “Lake loves each of you. I care more about students than anyone ever! I will miss you all! I am always here for you! Tweet me! Lake OUT!”
Superintendent Jami Jo Thompson said she could not make any comments regarding the information.
“I actually don’t have any information that I can share about that topic at this time,” Thompson said Wednesday morning. “I’m hoping that I’ll be able to make a statement by no later than Friday.”
