Sump Memorial Library will host a video creation workshop on Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The workshop will teach participants to create and edit videos using free software. They will also learn to upload their videos to the Internet for easy sharing.
No computer or camera is needed for the workshop but participants may bring personal laptops. Desktop computers will be available and participants will work with pre-recorded footage.
The workshop is part of a new service offered by the library allowing patrons to check out a video equipment bag for a one-week period. The bags include a video camera, multi-use tripods, chargers and syncing cables.
Patrons who are age 16 or older can check out the video cameras and equipment bags for home use. The service is from a grant by the Nebraska Eastern Library System.
The program is free and open to the public. Those wishing to participate in the workshop should register ahead of time by calling 402-597-2040 or at the library’s front desk.
