FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) — Fort Dodge police have apprehended an Iowa inmate who failed to return to a work-release facility in September.
The Iowa Department of Corrections says police arrested Dennis Daniel Rees on Saturday and he's being held in the Webster County Jail.
Rees, 28, was placed on escape status Sept. 16 after an unexcused absence from the Fort Dodge Work Release Facility. He'd been transferred to the work release center on Aug. 12.
Rees was serving a 22 year sentence after multiple convictions, including willful injury causing serious injury, forgery, theft and burglary. His sentence began in February 2004.
