CRETE, Neb. (AP) — A 69-year-old Nebraska businessman has been sentenced to six months in prison for not paying to the government money he had withheld for federal taxes.
John Clabaugh Jr. was sentenced Monday and ordered to pay more than $135,000 in restitution.
Federal prosecutors say the Lincoln man ran an insurance agency out of Crete. Prosecutors say Clabaugh withheld money from his and his employees' salaries for taxes but stopped paying it to the IRS in 2001.
