GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A man accused of breaking into a woman's apartment and stealing her underwear has pleaded not guilty.
The case also has been amended to include a previously dismissed burglary charge.
Dillon M. Edwards, 26, pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony burglary in Sept. 7, 2012, and May 6 incidents and to misdemeanor stalking in a Sept. 7, 2012, incident.
Charges in the September 2012 incidents are set for trial in December. The May burglary case is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Hall County District Court on Nov. 7.
After a preliminary hearing in Hall County Court last month, Judge Philip Martin dismissed the May 6 charge because, he said, the state failed to show that Edwards had entered the apartment with the intent to commit a felony or steal property of value. He sent the other case over to district court for trial. That burglary charge was filed directly in district court on Monday.
