UNO will look to snap a four-match losing streak this weekend as it hosts IUPUI and Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne in Summit League volleyball.
The Mavericks face IUPUI at 7 p.m. Friday and IPFW at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sapp Fieldhouse.
The Mavs (6-17 overall, 1-7 Summit) have lost four straight league matches and are 2-11 over their past 13 matches. UNO lost on the road to IUPUI and IPFW in early October, taking a set from IPFW.
Besides its Oct. 11 home sweep of North Dakota State, UNO has won just two of 23 sets against league foes.
IUPUI is 13-12 overall and is tied for the Summit lead at 7-2. The Jaguars’ Beth Howard leads the league with 4.9 digs per set, while teammate Moriah Fair is third with 3.8 kills per set.
IPFW is 13-12 overall and is tied for fifth in the Summit at 5-4. The Mastodons’ Emily Spencer leads the league with 4.8 kills per set, and Madison Spence is first with 10.7 assists per set.
UNO is tied for seventh in the eight-team Summit with South Dakota State. The Mavs’ Megan Schmale ranks second in the Summit with 1.15 blocks per set, while Bailey Baxter is second with 0.38 aces per set.
