The Papillion City Council on Tuesday selected Eagle Ridge Park for the city's next splash pad.
The park near Cornhusker Road and 66th Street was one of two locations suggested by City Councilman Tom Mumgaard.
The other was Glenwood Hills near Nebraska Highway 370 and 84th Street, but several Glenwood Hills residents opposed it.
A splash pad, or water playground, generally features water spraying up from the ground and down from overhead showers.
Eagle Ridge is outside the city and so its SID board and the city must work out an agreement to make the splash pad a reality, Mumgaard said.
