Tenaska Capital Management, the investment affiliate of Omaha energy company Tenaska Inc., said Friday that Dan Lonergan will become CEO on Dec. 1.
He will succeed Paul Smith, who will focus on strategic initiatives and continue as a senior managing director, chairman of the investment committee, vice chairman of Tenaska Energy Inc. and a member of Tenaska's board of stakeholders. Smith and Lonergan helped start Tenaska Capital Management in 2002.
Lonergan is a member of the investment committee and stakeholders board and has more than 25 years' experience in energy and power industry finance, administration and other duties. He joined Tenaska in 1997 as vice president of finance.
Tenaska Capital manages about $3.5 billion in energy-related assets.
