Free cake at Dairy Queen for couples getting married today

OMAHA (AP) — Today's rare sequential 11-12-13 date is making it a popular wedding date, so Dairy Queen is offering any couple that marries that day a $30 gift card for an ice cream cake.

Dairy Queen marketing vice president Barry Westrum said the restaurant chain decided this would be a fun way to be part of couples' celebrations.

Any newlyweds who want to take advantage of the deal must send a copy of the marriage certificate dated 11-12-13 with their contact information to DairyQueen@piersongrant.com by the end of November.

International Dairy Queen is based in Minneapolis, Minn., but the company is part of Warren Buffett's Omaha-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
