The Douglas County treasurer is stepping into one of his employees' shoes as part of an offer he made during a charity driver.
Treasurer John W. Ewing Jr. will be a customer service technician for two hours today at the branch office at 108th Street and West Maple Road.
Ewing promised employees that anyone who contributed $50 or more to the recent United Way campaign would be eligible for a special drawing and Ewing would do some of the work of the employee whose name was drawn.
Employee Jennifer Bevins was declared the winner. Ewing's staff raised $2,700 for the campaign.
