Avoli Osteria is having its first wine dinner
The restaurant will host Mario Bollag, of Terralsole Winery in Montalcino, Italy, for the winter dinner. Wines at the dinner will include Rosso di Montalcino, a 2004 Brunello di Montalcino and a 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, and each wine will be paired with seasonal Northern Italian cuisine.
The dinner is $90 per person before tax or tip and takes place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4. For more information or a reservation, call 402-933-7400 after 3:30 p.m., or leave a message.
Boiler Room wine dinner also taps Terralsole for its pairings
Terralsole will also be stopping at the Boiler Room Restaurant for a wine dinner.
Bollag will be at Boiler Room on Dec. 3 for a dinner featuring the 2004 Brunello Riserva, a Rosso di Montalcino and a Solista, a Syrah varietal.
The menu will include Nebraska rabbit, house-made bolognese sauce and wagyu beef to be part of a bistecca Fiorentina.
The dinner is $75 per person, before tax or tip, and runs from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Trap Room holding wine tasting event The Trap Room is getting into the holiday spirit with a wine tasting focused on European wines — and it's super affordable.
For $10, you'll get the chance to sample eight wines from Spain, France, Italy and Germany. The $10 also goes back toward any purchase made at the event, which can be ordered at the tasting and picked up later. The tasting takes place at 7 p.m. Dec. 4. Wine ordered that night will be available for pickup any time after Dec. 5.
