Nebraska finished the season ranked No. 7 in the final AVCA rankings released Monday. The Huskers went 26-7 for the season, finishing second in the Big Ten and losing to Texas in the regional final of the NCAA tournament.
National champion Penn State came in at No. 1, with Wisconsin taking No. 2. Texas, Washington and Stanford rounded out the top five.
The Big Ten had seven teams finish the year in the top 25, with No. 8 Purdue, No. 10 Minnesota, No. 14 Michigan State and No. 16 Illinois joining the Nittany Lions, Badgers and Huskers.
