Creighton University has named its interim dean of medicine permanently to that post, the university announced Monday.
Robert “Bo” Dunlay Jr., a Creighton-educated nephrologist who has been a clinician and an educator since 1994, was appointed interim dean in January. He was made dean after a national search, according to Creighton.
“Dr. Dunlay emerged as the strongest candidate to lead us into the future and expand our opportunities with Alegent Creighton Health and CHI,” Gail Jensen, dean of the Graduate School and University College and chairwoman of the search committee, said in a press release.
Dunlay has been a professor of medicine and pharmacology in the School of Medicine and has served as chief medical officer of Creighton University Medical Center.
He earned his bachelor's and medical degrees at Creighton.
