A Bellevue man who declined a police demand that he drop a running chainsaw and who later left a hospital after the affair was in jail Monday, police said.
Michael Nordmeyer, 24, left Creighton University Medical Center on Dec. 18, the day after he was arrested, Bellevue police said. They did not say when he was again taken into custody.
A police hold that had been placed on him had been lifted, though he had not been cleared medically for release.
The Sarpy County Attorney’s Office has charged Nordmeyer with first-degree false imprisonment, domestic assault causing injury, threatening a domestic partner with injury, menacing a domestic partner and interfering with a public service company.
A officer stunned Nordmeyer with an electroshock gun after he refused to put down the chainsaw during a fight with his girlfriend, police said.
