WEST DES MOINES (AP) — A West Des Moines man has been accused of chest bumping a firefighter who was trying to stop flooding in his apartment building.
Firefighters responded Wednesday night to an apartment building that had water pouring from the ceiling, causing about a foot of water to accumulate on the ground.
Authorities said 56-year-old Gregory Dean Watson, an apartment resident, yelled at a firefighter trying to shut off the water. He is accused of chest bumping the firefighter and threatening to fight him.
A firefighter held Watson down on the ground until police arrived and arrested him. Watson has been charged with public intoxication and interference with official acts. Copyright 2014 Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
