A third round of strong winds are forecast Saturday, with gusts of 40 mph to 50 mph possible. As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of Nebraska and western Iowa.
Omaha is under the advisory 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and winds here could gust to 50 mph.
As was the case earlier this week, driving could be difficult, debris is likely to be blowing into streets. and high-profile vehicles will be prone to tipping.
Winds will be blowing from the northwest and are expected to be similar to Tuesday, but not as strong as Thursday.
Cathy Zapotocny, meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said these strong winds are the result of potent storm systems moving through the region.
Sunday's weather will be the reward for Saturday.
Temperatures are forecast around 50 degrees Sunday in Omaha, and winds are expected to be light.
