A deputy from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people, including a juvenile, Thursday night in connection with a convenience store robbery.
The deputy had responded to an armed robbery report at the Kum & Go at 18908 Q Street about 11:40 p.m..
The sheriff’s office said the deputy spotted a vehicle eastbound on Q Street near 168th Street with a person matching the description of the robbery suspect. When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled. The vehicle eventually stopped near 161st and W Streets and the two suspects in the robbery were arrested.
A loaded firearm was recovered along with a plastic Kum & Go bag containing cash, authorities said.
One of the suspects, Duol Ruot, 23, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and operating a vehicle to avoid arrest, the sheriff’s office said.
The second suspect is a juvenile, authorities said, and an identification was not being released.
