CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a Cedar Rapids man as a homicide.
The Cedar Rapids Police Department said 31-year-old Clifton Diapolis Sparks was found dead on a street shortly after midnight Tuesday.
Police said Sparks had suffered a traumatic injury, but they did not release any more information. An autopsy is pending.
Authorities said they do not believe there is any immediate threat to the public.
The death marks the third homicide in Cedar Rapids this year.
