Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a pair of robberies outside grocery stores in South Omaha.
Officer Michael Pecha, a police spokesman, said 19-year-old Armando Rodriguez and a 15-year-old male were booked into the Douglas County Correctional Center. Rodriguez was booked on suspicion of two counts of being an accessory to a felony — driving the getaway car.
The juvenile suspect was arrested on suspicion of one count of robbery and one count of attempted robbery. His name has not been released.
Police arrested them Saturday following the robbery of a 44-year-old woman outside the Walmart Neighborhood Market, 5051 L St., at 11:30 p.m. The woman told police she was putting her purchases in her car when the juvenile displayed a gun and demanded money.
Investigators located both suspects and two other parties at 2025 S. 20th Ave.
Police said the two also are suspects in an attempted robbery Friday about 11:30 p.m. outside the Hy-Vee Supermarket at 3505 L St. A 46-year-old man told police a suspect showed a gun and went through his wallet, but fled without taking anything.
