LINCOLN — No. 8 Michigan defeated No. 7 Nebraska 196.650-196.125 in women’s gymnastics Friday.
The Wolverines handed the Huskers their first loss of the season while moving atop the Big Ten standings at 4-0.
Nebraska’s Emily Wong won the all-around title with a score of 39.475.
Michigan outscored Nebraska in three of the four rotations, including a 49.375 to 49.000 advantage on the floor exercise and a 48.975 to 48.650 margin on the beam.
Nebraska next competes at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 when the Huskers host Kentucky, Wisconsin-Stout and Bridgeport.
