An Omaha man was severely injured early Friday after he was ejected from the pickup he was driving in Washington County.
William T. Burdess, 21, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center following the crash about 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Burdess was not wearing a seat belt, said Capt. Kevin Willis of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Willis said a female passenger, whose name was not available, also was hurt and was taken to Creighton. She was wearing a seat belt and was not ejected.
Burdess was northbound on County Road 39 west of Fort Calhoun when he lost control and rolled the vehicle, winding up in the southbound lane.
Willis said alcohol and slick road conditions were factors in the accident.
