On this day in 1931, the Nebraska Panhandle town of Kimball saw its longest dry spell on record end, according to the National Weather Service.
A scant 0.20 inches of precipitation fell, bringing an end to 93 consecutive dry days. The stretch began Nov. 20, 1930.
