The weekend could be snowy, according to AccuWeather, The World-Herald's weather consultant.
Bob Smerbeck, meteorologist with AccuWeather, said storms will push out of the Rockies later this week and bring with them a good chance for snow in Omaha on Friday and Saturday.
Between the two days, Omaha could receive several inches of snow, he said. Because the weather systems are several days away, conditions are uncertain. But the forecast, he said, bears watching.
People traveling south to the Kansas City area might encounter freezing rain and sleet on Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, it's possible the snow will have moved out of the region.
