Want a bowl of ice cream? No? How about a beer?
Now we're talking.
A new study shows people who are dieting are more likely to turn down a sugary snack than a cocktail.
Researchers followed 80 people for one week and asked them to record what tempted them to abandon their diets. Alcohol was one of the greatest offenders, Time reported.
Dieters were also more likely to overindulge while in the company of friends.
The study was small, though, so more research needs to be done to confirm the findings. It was published in the journal Annals of Behavioral Medicine.
