Gordmans, the Omaha-based apparel and home decor retailer, will open three 50,000-square-foot stores next month, one each in Idaho, Indiana and Michigan.
All three locations are scheduled to open at 9 a.m. March 20. And each store is expected to employ about 100 part- and full-time employees.
The Boise store will be the chain’s third Idaho location. The Schererville store will be the retailer’s eighth Indiana location, and Gordmans also is building a $37.5 million, 545,000-square-foot distribution center in greater Indianapolis that’s scheduled to open this summer.
The company’s first Michigan store, in Norton Shores, will serve the Muskegon area.
In the last two years, the retailer opened 19 new stores. The company plans to open four more stores this year for a total of seven stores. With the addition of the new stores next month, the company will operate 96 stores in 20 states.
