Williams' son to walk on for NU at QB
Jamie Williams will bring along somebody to Nebraska who could eventually be of help to the Husker football program. His son. Evan Williams, a 6-foot, 175-pound quarterback from San Francisco, plans to walk-on at NU starting next season.

Huskers ‘perfect' match for lineman
All John Garrison could do was ask. The Nebraska assistant offensive line coach made contact with 6-foot-5, 290-pound Dan Samuelson last week, letting the three-star lineman from Plymouth, Ind., know the Huskers were very interested in him, even though Samuelson committed to Pittsburgh in April.

Rose set to handle defensive demands
When he hit the ground, Michael Rose was afraid something was really wrong. Playing in a pick-up basketball game last winter, the future Nebraska linebacker went up for a dunk, came down awkwardly and felt a sharp pain in his knee. Initially expecting the worst, a doctor confirmed that a slightly dislocated kneecap had hit some soft tissue around his knee.

McKewon: Star QBs remain in cupboard for NU
Nebraska struck out on its first-tier quarterback targets for the 2013 recruiting class. Three of the four top recruits committed to Ohio State, Illinois and Northwestern, respectively. Big Ten — ouch. Funny, but I like the second-tier guys NU has just offered more. Especially Atlanta-area quarterback Anthony Jennings, who won MVP of Atlanta's Elite 11 QB camp, picking up attention from NU and Alabama, among others.

Huskers get commitment from Ohio tight end Hart
Dayton (Ohio) Alter tight end Greg Hart has committed to Nebraska, choosing the Huskers over his other finalist, Northwestern. “I was really comfortable with it,” Hart said. “I was comfortable with the people surrounding me, and I’m ready for it.” The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Hart visited Lincoln last weekend, and he also held offers from Pittsburgh, Boston College, Indiana, Louisville and others.

Texas defensive end is NU's sixth recruit for 2013
Nebraska's recruiting class for 2013 picked up a sixth member on Saturday: Christian Lacouture, a defensive end from College Station, Texas. Lacouture committed on an unofficial visit to Nebraska on Saturday, he confirmed in a text message to HuskersIllustrated.com, the World-Herald's recruiting partner.

Youngstown connection continues with Love
The Cardinal Mooney pipeline continues to carry players to Nebraska. Sunday, the Youngstown, Ohio, alma mater of coach Bo Pelini and offensive coordinator Tim Beck delivered another recruit for 2013: Four-star linebacker Courtney Love. Four-star Mooney safety Marcus McWilson committed to NU in February.

After four visits, Wisconsin prospect calls NU home
The fourth visit did the trick for defensive end A.J. Natter. Natter committed to Nebraska over the weekend after coming to Lincoln on Thursday night in advance of the spring game. Natter said he felt during the visit — his fourth to NU since last fall — that NU was the place he wanted to play college football.
