Cowboys avenge loss to Cyclones

Le'Bryan Nash was determined to avoid another crushing defeat at the buzzer against Iowa State. Given a chance at redemption, he came up with the big plays Oklahoma State needed on both ends of the court. Nash hit the winning fadeaway jumper with 4.7 seconds left and blocked Chris Allen's attempt for the tie at the buzzer to lift the Cowboys to a 69-67 victory Tuesday night.

Iowa State (17-6, 7-3) was one 3-pointer short of tying a school record in a 77-70 victory that gave the Cyclones their third straight win.

Royce White had 18 points and nine rebounds as Iowa State upset fifth-ranked Kansas 72-64 on Saturday, snapping the Jayhawks' winning streak at 10 games. Melvin Ejim added 15 points for the Cyclones (15-6, 5-3 Big 12), who had lost 13 straight to Kansas since their last victory in 2005.
