Iowa raises season ticket prices
The cost for tickets to home games of the University of Iowa football team will increase $2 per game, the school's athletics department announced Thursday.

Iowa puts Parker in charge of defense
Phil Parker, defensive backs coach at Iowa the past 13 seasons, has been promoted to defensive coordinator, the Hawkeyes announced Tuesday. In addition, Darrell Wilson and Reese Morgan will take over new assignments on the Hawkeye coaching staff. Wilson, who has served as Iowa’s linebackers coach for 10 seasons, will coach the defensive secondary. Morgan, a member of the staff for 12 seasons, will move from coaching the offensive line to the defensive line.

Hawkeyes set record, win big
The Iowa Hawkeyes set a national average home attendence record Sunday afternoon while deafeating Wisconsin 39-3. The Hawkeyes won nine of 10 matches against the Badgers in front of 6,809. During the season, Iowa averaged 9,014 in six duals to break its own previous record of 8,209 last season.

Gatens' 18 points help Iowa beat Penn State
Matt Gatens scored 18 points as Iowa beat Penn State 77-64 on Saturday. Bryce Cartwright and Aaron White each scored 17 for the Hawkeyes (13-11, 5-6 Big Ten), who won their second straight after losing five of their previous six games. Tim Frazier scored 23 points to lead the Nittany Lions (10-13, 2-8), who have lost four straight and seven of their last eight.

If you don't have a rooting interest in the Super Bowl, root for Tyler Sash. No. 39 is a prominent special teams player and rookie reserve safety for the New York Giants. The native Iowan starred in football and basketball at Oskaloosa High School, about an hour southeast of Des Moines.

Iowa's Printy out for season with ACL injury
Junior Jaime Printy will miss the rest of the season after an MRI exam Friday morning confirmed that the guard suffered a torn ACL in her left knee during Iowa's 85-79 overtime win at Wisconsin. This is the second injury to Printy's left ACL. She tore the same ligament as a sophomore in high school.

O'Keefe leaves Hawkeyes
Iowa offensive coordinator Ken O'Keefe is leaving the program after 13 seasons. The surprise departure, which was first reported Friday by the Des Moines Register, leaves both coordinator jobs open at Iowa. Coach Kirk Ferentz is expected to name a replacement for longtime defensive coordinator Norm Parker next week.

History-making season continues for Meier
During a record-setting fall, Nate Meier made state history on the football field. Wednesday, he made local history off it. Meier became the first male from Fremont-Mills in more than 40 years to become an NCAA Division I scholarship athlete when he signed a national letter of intent with Iowa.

Senior Matt Gatens scored 18 points and Iowa rallied to beat Minnesota 63-59 on Wednesday night and snap a three-game losing streak. Devyn Marble added 12 points for the Hawkeyes, who overcame a 10-point deficit in the second half and closed the game on a 9-0 run. Iowa's Deyvn Marble followed a 3-pointer with an emphatic one-handed dunk to tie the game at 59 with 1:43 left.
