Sami Spenner won two events to lead UNO at the Kansas State Winter Invitational on Saturday. In the Mavericks’ first meet of the indoor season, Spenner won the long jump (19-8) and the triple jump (41-1).
Nebraska won six of nine relays and Nicole Schwery captured the 3-meter dive to help the Huskers beat host UNO 86-34 in Saturday’s relay meet.
Nebraska used a strong third day at the Kansas Classic to finish second in the six-team meet.
