If you love movies, you’re going to love the latest addition to the Omaha Public Library loan program: binge boxes.
A binge box is a collection of four to six films gathered into one DVD set for the ultimate movie-watching experience.
About 90 different binge boxes are available by theme, director, actor and more.
Collection titles provide a clue to the movies: “Something Sappy,” “Classic Characters in Action,” “Don’t Mess With Denzel.”
Binge boxes are perfect for school breaks, get-togethers with friends, date nights, family film festivals, road trips and more.
To scan the selection and availability, simply type “binge box” into the online catalog’s search bar at omahalibray.org. You can reserve a binge box to be sent to your favorite OPL location, and receive a notification when it’s ready for pick up.
Binge boxes may be checked out for 14 days.
If binging books is more your style, consider requesting a book bundle. Visit omahalibrary.org and click on “Find Your Next Read” under “Services” for an online form to specify your reading preferences. Library staff will compile a list of books currently available and send it to your preferred location.
With more hours of daylight and (hopefully) more leisure time, this is the perfect time for binging on movies and books – and the books count toward your OPL Summer Reading Program goals.
