Thirty people from 14 countries became U.S. citizens Tuesday during a naturalization ceremony.
"It's a blessing for me. I'm so excited" said Yawa Afefa Em. Ocloo, from Togo, who joined her husband in the United States 12 years ago.
The ceremony was part of a daylong international festival at Metropolitan Community College's South campus. The festival included musicians, dancers and performers from numerous cultures and backgrounds.
