Creighton University investment students will host a panel discussion and book signings on May 1, the day before Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s annual shareholders meeting in Omaha.
The free event at the Heider College of Business, 602 N. 20th St., starts at 2 p.m. with a book-signing, followed by the panel discussion from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a reception.
The program, designed for students and investors and open to the public, is hosted by Creighton’s value investment portfolio practicum class, which manages $4.47 million of the university’s endowment fund.
The panelists are Patrick Brennan of Hutchinson Capital Management in San Francisco; Lawrence Cunningham of George Washington University; Tom Digenan of UBS Global Asset Management in Chicago; Vitaliy Katsenelson of Investment Management Associates Inc. in Denver; and Sean Lynch of Wells Fargo in Omaha.
Cunningham also will hold a 2 p.m. breakout session related to his book, “Berkshire Beyond Buffett”.
