One of the major sacrifices of military life is being away from home during the holidays, and the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce is looking for a few good men (and women) to help ease the hurt.

The chamber, in concert with the Bellevue Economic Enhancement Foundation, will stuff “cheer bags” Dec. 6, all to be donated to the approximately 700 young men and women stationed at Offutt Air Force Base who will not be home for Christmas.

Donations are being sought to purchase the items being stuffed into the bags.

Checks should be made payable to the Bellevue Economic Enhancement Foundation and mailed to the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce at 1102 Galvin Road S., Bellevue, NE 68005.

The bag stuffing will be held at the Bellevue Volunteer Firefighters Hall at 2108 Franklin St. beginning at 10 a.m.
