Jays win four doubles titles at Omaha Invitational

The Creighton men's and women's tennis teams combined to win four doubles crowns on Saturday and advanced 11 players to Sunday's singles title matches at the Omaha Collegiate Invitational.

Creighton and UNO are hosting the tournament, which also features players from UNK, South Dakota State, North Dakota and Northern Colorado.

Creighton men's squad won three doubles championships while the women picked up one.

In the women's doubles final in Flight A, Creighton's team of Jennier Hartjes and Katherine Nelsen won the title. In men's doubles Flight B, freshman Harrison Lang and sophomore Quinn Dippel claimed a title. A pair of Bluejay freshmen, Jake Glazer and Aaron Chalstrom, took home the Flight C doubles crown, while sophomore Jack Fay and freshman Michael Koch in Flight D.

Singles title matches begin at 9 a.m. Sunday. In four of the finals, two Bluejays will face each other after a Creighton player won each side of the bracket.
