Age 84

Council Bluffs. Passed away February 20, 2016. He was born in Council Bluffs on September 1, 1931 to the late Claude and Edna Mae (Donahoo) Carman. Larry graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1949. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Carman; brother, Robert; sisters, Charlotte, Leona and Doris. Larry is survived by his children, Susan Markuson (Mark), Jeff Carman, Cathy Sahl (Torsten), Lori Beckner (Shannon Harris), Grant Carman, Amber O'Dell; stepchildren, Robert Gay (Ann), Sally Moneto (Frank), Tracy Schonberner (Suzy); sister, Vida Ward; brothers, Orville Carman and Claude "Butch" Carman; 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.

VISITATION is 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. FUNERAL SERVICE is 11 am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Wings of Hope.
